Making forwards strives during a global pandemic has had its share of challenges for us individually and as an affiliate. Our desire to move the affiliate forward continues to present with setbacks and challenges. Our faith in the vision and mission statement of NAMI remains optimistic and steadfast. As a member of the community; I have witnessed how the stigma of mental illness can rob someone of their human dignity and self-respect.

We understand that communities present with their own unique challenges and triumphs. It is the triumphs that fuels my commitment to serve as the affiliate president. During the holiday season we have a couple of asks: open board seats must be filled to move the vison forward; more individuals must make a commitment to step up and become trained in the NAMI Signature Programs. Lastly those impacted by mental illness must become active so our community; this affiliate is able to operate in abundance that is overflowing.

NAMI Atlanta/Auburn has a history that is deeply rooted in the community and without your support its history can be wiped away. Will you stand with us and help to reduce the stigma in our community.
