NAMI Atlanta/Auburn Affiliate Mental Health & Wellness Day

July 20, 2018 NAMI News
NAMI Atlanta/Auburn Mental Wellness Day

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the NAMI Atlanta/Auburn Affiliate hosted our first Mental Health and Wellness Day.

Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM
Bethel United Methodist Church
1215 New Hope Road Atlanta, GA 30331.

Becoming equipped with tools for proactively responding to warning signs of mental crisis and illness was the primary focus of the day. With suicide on the rise within communities of color, it was more important than ever to have this discussion.

We must educate ourselves about symptoms that may not be as obvious or recognizable. Continuing this conversation is imperative in affecting change in treatment, policies and changing the mental health stigma.

This event was free to the community with lunch served.
